Reactor Data Monthly Release Notes Digest: May 2025
Release Notes · Updated August 26, 2025
This past month, the Reactor Data team released a number of new features and made several key improvements across the platform. Below is a digest of the updates, grouped by UI theme, to help you stay on top of the latest enhancements.
Platform-Wide
- Introducing Electron: We are pleased to announce the launch of Electron, our new GenAI mapping assistant, designed to streamline your data engineering workflows. Read more about Electron in our release announcement: Announcing Electron, Reactor's AI Assistant
- Introducing the Reactor Documentation Center: We are thrilled to announce that the new Reactor Documentation Center is now live! You can access comprehensive guides, release notes, and reference materials for mapping expressions and functions at /docs/. All help links within the Reactor application have been updated to point to the new documentation site.
Sources
- "Run Now" Button: On the Connector Settings tab, you will now find a "Run Now" button. This feature allows you to manually trigger an immediate data collection run, so you don't have to wait for the next scheduled collection. Please note that this button is not available for flat file sources.
- Electron Integration: Electron has been integrated into the Sources page to help you learn more about your source schemas.
- Read-Only Permissions Bug Fix: We have fixed a bug that prevented external users with read-only permissions from viewing the Data Standard tab.
Mappings
- Electron as an Error Resolution Helper: Electron is now available as a helpful tool for resolving mapping errors. When you click the error icon in the Mapping Results tab, Electron will open with a pre-loaded message, including the error message and the field that returned the error, to assist you in troubleshooting.
- Composite ID Lookup Tool: The composite ID lookup tool is now available for all sources with a hashed primary identifier. You can now search for a record by entering its unhashed value.
Destinations
- Field Validation: Reactor now validates fields in destination configurations. If a field is not formatted correctly, you will be guided to fix the issue, and you will not be able to deploy the connector until all formatting issues are resolved.
- Updated "Add Output" Wizard: We have updated the "Add Output" wizard. When adding a new output, Reactor will now first ask you to select a destination connector before selecting a destination target. This ensures clarity on where your data will land, which is especially helpful when two destinations have similarly-named targets.
Settings and Administration
- User Deletion Bug Fix: We have resolved a bug that prevented client administrators from deleting users from their accounts.
