The Reactor Data team continued to make strides this month, releasing a number of new features and key improvements across the platform. Dive into the digest below to see how we're making your Reactor experience even better.
First, here are links to a few major release announcements from August that you may have missed:
- Introducing Pins to the Mapping Canvas: We've made the canvas on the Mappings page customizable, so you can see only the pipelines that are relevant to you while working on mapping updates. Read more here.
- Advanced Mapper Replay: We've made it possible to replay a defined set of records, to assist with troubleshooting and data validation. Read more here.
Electron
- Improved Field Description Generation: Electron's prompt for generating field descriptions has been optimized to create more informative and human-readable descriptions rather than simply repeating the field name.
- Bulk Mapping Reliability: A bug that could cause Electron to crash when using the Bulk Mapping agent has been squashed.

Mapping Sandbox Improvements:

Mutually Exclusive Save and Deploy Buttons: To prevent accidental cross-environment deployment, the Save and Deploy buttons for Output configurations are now mutually exclusive based on your environment:
- In Sandbox, only saving is allowed.
- In Production, only deployment is allowed.
- You can still save models from Production to Sandbox and deploy Sandbox models to Production.
- An issue where the Mapping Sandbox output was not properly associated with its Sandbox Target in the Mapper Replay menu has been resolved.
- The New badge is no longer incorrectly displayed on source tiles that do not have an output associated with them in the Mapping Sandbox.

Model Mappings and Expression Editor Bug Fixes:
- The Cancel button now correctly reverts a field to its last-deployed state instead of returning a
nullvalue. - We've corrected the Field Type display for object and array fields, and the Type field is now grayed out because it is not editable.
- Local and Iterator Variable Expression Previews: The Model Configuration Editor now provides live previews of the output for Local and Iterator Variable expressions as you edit them.
- You can now insert a new field at any position in the Model Mappings table.

Destinations
- S3 Authentication Update: The Destinations page now includes UI functionality to support linking client AWS and S3 accounts by providing the IAM Role name and Account ID. This allows you to connect your S3 bucket without needing to set up an SSH key pair.
