January 31, 2025: Enhanced Source Data Previews

Release Notes · Updated August 26, 2025

General Release

We're excited to announce an update to the Sources page in Reactor, designed to provide users with a more comprehensive understanding of their data before configuration. This enhancement enables you to preview sample source data and schema, streamlining the process of setting up source identity and standardizing data.

This update introduces several key features. You can now access a sample of your source data in a clear, tabular format by selecting a source from the Sources sidebar and navigating to the "Data Preview" tab. Users can easily filter the data preview to focus on specific fields, allowing you to observe variations in values across different data rows. A critical new addition is the ability to view an entire sample data record in JSON format; simply select the arrow icon to the left of the table to open a detailed JSON view of the record. To maximize your screen real estate, you can collapse the preview table, and while the JSON view is open, you can click on different rows in the table to see the corresponding records. This feature allows users to review a source schema and examine example values within any source field, leading to a better understanding of each field's representation.
