Reactor Data Monthly Release Notes Digest: June 2025

Release Notes · Updated August 26, 2025

This past month, the Reactor Data team released a number of new features and made several key improvements across the platform. Below is a digest of the updates, grouped by UI theme, to help you stay on top of the latest enhancements.

Sources

  • Improved Handling of Arrays: On the Data Standard tab, Reactor now treats arrays as their own distinct data type (both inbound and outbound). For most arrays, you can now define the data type of the elements within the array (e.g., convert an array of integers to an array of strings).
  • Corrected Empty Array Identification: We've fixed a bug that previously prevented Reactor from identifying the data type of an empty array ([]). Reactor will now correctly tag these fields as an Array of Objects.

Mappings

  • Descriptions for Object Fields: You can now add descriptions to Object and Array of Object fields, allowing for better documentation and clarity in your data models.
  • Enhanced Expression Editor: The Expression Editor has been updated to display local and iterator variables as expandable tiles, replacing the previous text box.
    • Local variable tiles are light orange with a [...] icon.
    • Iterator variable tiles are rose-colored with a matrix icon.
    • Clicking on a variable tile reveals its name, description, and definition.
  • New Validator Tab: We've added a Validator tab to the Mapping Results panel. This new tool allows you to evaluate and view the results for a specific field you are editing, eliminating the need to scan through the entire model output. (Note: Future enhancements will include the capability to evaluate Array and Local Variable fields with this tool).
  • Fixed Source Data Panel: We resolved a bug that caused the Source Data panel to briefly show a "Could not find raw record for [scid]" error before displaying the correct record.

Destinations

  • UX Improvements: We’ve streamlined the user experience for syncing with connected Snowflake and BigQuery schemas, cleaning up the layout to remove excess white space and clarify button labels.

Source Links

  • Cardinality Bug Fix: We resolved a bug that was preventing users from editing the cardinality setting of an existing link configuration.

Other Updates

  • We fixed a bug that prevented some users from logging in via Google identity.
  • We resolved an issue that prevented new dashboards from being provisioned and caused existing dashboards to disappear from the Retail App UI for some legacy SoundCommerce Retail Platform users.
