Release Notes · Updated August 26, 2025
General Release
We're excited to announce the addition of several powerful new functions to Reactor's native transformation expression language. These enhancements significantly expand your data manipulation capabilities directly within Reactor, making our already user-friendly, Excel-like function library even more robust.
The new functions include:
- Convert Timezone: Easily adjust timestamps between different time zones.
- Date Add, Datetime Add, Timestamp Add: Add specified time intervals to dates, datetimes, or timestamps.
- Date Diff, Datetime Diff, Timestamp Diff: Calculate the difference between two dates, datetimes, or timestamps.
- Truncate Date, Truncate Datetime: Truncate dates or datetimes to a specified unit (e.g., year, month, day).
- Number: Convert values to a numerical data type (synonymous with the Decimal function).
- SHA256: Generate a SHA256 hash for data security and integrity.
These new functions empower users to perform complex transformations natively within Reactor, eliminating the previous need for custom Python scripting for these specific operations. This update streamlines the transformation process, making it more accessible and efficient for all Reactor users.
